Safety Manager
- Major Civil / Rail Project
- 5 Days Per Week
- Project Based
Operating for some 50 years, this industry leader has forged an excellent reputation for being able to deliver demanding and complex projects across building, mining, rail, civil and the telecommunication sectors.
With continued success the need for a project bas ed Safety Manager is required for a rail / civil engineering project based in Tahmoor.
You will be based on site 5 days a week managing the safety management system, auditing onsite compliance, investigating dangerous occurrences, incidents and or accidents and initiate corrective actions. You’ll assess subcontractor’s ability to comply to the safety management plan and review their documentation ensuring the SWMS are specific to the work being carried out.
Coupled with the more traditional safety management role stated above you will be involved in the contractual requirements set out by the client and ensure the Contracts Manager includes these on to the project contracts. This being the case you must have an excellent understanding of the current legislation and codes of practice.
This will also be a client facing role so you must be able to build strong and lasting relationships with the client representatives identifying potential areas of dispute and rectifying as required.
